   Shinkai Makoto’s new film SUZUME NO TOJIMARI depicts the amusement park Brazilian Park Washuzan Highland in Okayama Prefecture as abandoned - which doesn’t sit well w/ its operators. “Our park is bright & fun & a place of joy….No one who’s seen the movie has visited.”

     SUZUME is gaining steam at the box office and may end up surpassing Shinkai’s hit YOUR NAME financially. Our reviewer says it definitely lives up to the hype.
