    Have you ever interacted with the website of another Mastodon server and found yourself having to re-enter your username and password, again and again?

    There's a new web browser extension called FediAct which allows you to log in with your account once, and then you never have to log in again.

    You can install it from Firefox Addons and the Chrome Webstore, including Android versions. There's more info about it at:

    ➡️ https://github.com/Lartsch/FediAct

    The developer of FediAct is @lartsch

      @feditips @lartsch if on android phone then does this mean I have to access Mastodon web via Chrome? I'm a DuckDuckGo browser by default and have my Mastodon accounts favourited in DDG. Tusky allows cross instance access without re-logging in but it'd be nice to do it on the mobile web - I prefer the sidebar interface & options ?. TIA.

      @feditips @lartsch So, great, but to attract the people fleeing to Post -- owned by tech VC and massive data gatherer Marc Andreesen -- installing a browser extension is more cumbersome than setting a cookie. Cookies aren't evil. Only evil cookies are evil.

      @lartsch

      p.s. Using this extension is really easy:

      1. Log in through your server's website (your server's website is the last part of your handle, for example mine is mstdn.social)

      2. Install the extension on your web browser (Firefox or Chrome)

      3. Go to FediAct's settings page and enter your server (so for example mine is mstdn.social)

      ...that's it. As long as you are logged in on your own server's website, you can now interact with any Mastodon website without having to log in again.

      @feditips @lartsch

      Hey, I would like to know what is this extension on your screenshot (it's on your Firefox addon page page!)

      Btw, does that extension works with @pinafore ?

      And why when I entered "mstdn.social" in input and clicked "Enter" key nothing happened?

      I mean, nothing like open an web page where I could allow the app to have some permissions allowed and etc.

      Like @pinafore and @sengi_app and @Whalebird does do.

      Thanks for reading,

      Yours, Expert Plus ?

      @feditips @lartsch Sugar. This old man left Twitter. And I’m happy I did. At the same time, these posts do not really help me understand. Can you be more detailed so this 57 year old understands? I’m not fussing. I just want to do what I can do to make this app better than Twitter. ❤️ FYI. I do technical writing so I am happy to volunteer my services.
