     @Rachel_Thorn How does that work?!?? I’m sad Dave has turned to the dark side. I gave him a few (probably too many) chances, but that SNL monologue was the last draw.

     These few years have been a real wake-up call for me to realize how rampant transphobia is in comedy and how long I, an avid comedy fan, had been ignorant about it.

     He’s taken The Man’s side; it’s sad and pathetic. It’s a betrayal and hypocrisy to a fan like me. The same thing can be said about Hitoshi Matsumoto.

     @hashitan I had to Google to see what you were referring to. So now he's jumped on the antisemitism bandwagon, too. I am not surprised. I gave up on him 5 years ago.

     @Rachel_Thorn That’s so true. I feel guilty of idolizing his brand of comedy when I was younger. Now I can’t stand what he has become. He and his management company basically work for the government. So cringey ?

     @hashitan Ugh! I hate Matsumoto. Japanese comedy is dominated by misogynist, ignorant conservatives. Women for them exist to be the target of sexual harassment or fat-shaming. And for a woman to get ahead in Japanese comedy, she has to accept that with a smile.
