   Refugees in Libya (@refugeesinlibya), who've been abandoned by the gaslighting organization that is the UNHCR, and the EU's funding of criminals to deter refugees by any means necessary, have a 2 day campaign. The only reason I've followed their unbelievable plight is because of their voice on Twitter. They've created an account on Mastodon so I suggest everyone follows them here so that we can amplify their voices once they catch their breath & setup a presence here.

     @karinkaup @RFancio @refugeesinlibya Europeans have some nerve colonizing, enslaving and pillaging and then talking about “compassion” for Africans. We’re only telling you not to kill us pillage our continent!

     @RFancio @timnitGebru @refugeesinlibya I dont’t see the same kind of compassion for Ukrainian victims from Africans as you are asking for African victims from Europeans. In fact I see that African governments are taking the side of genocidal Russia.

     @RFancio @jfpuget @refugeesinlibya the west literally killed Syrian refugees leaving
     them to freeze to death while talking about how they are so open to Ukrainian refugees. So no they are not innocent. The west regularly fucks up people’s countries (eg Iraq, Central America ) & refused to take the refugees from the countries the west has a huge hand in destroying.

     @jfpuget @timnitGebru @refugeesinlibya You are right, my fault: my brain tought Lybia, my fingers wrote Syria, where the West fault is inaction years ago, but the culprits are Assad and his allies, Putin and the ayatollahs regime.

     What happens in Syria is mostly due to the dictator in place there. And it is hard to argue that he is backed by Europeans.

     @hidden @karinkaup @RFancio @refugeesinlibya I was talking about what our African friends in Ukraine went through while trying to evacuate & the horrific way they were treated by Ukrainians. A number of our friends were there. This comment about lack of “compassion” in response to the plight of African refugees is disgusting. And even tho I saw NO Ukrainians talking about the world’s worst war & genocide, which is what OUR ppl’re facing in Tigray, I lent my time & expertise to support Ukraine.

     @timnitGebru @karinkaup @RFancio @refugeesinlibya Ukrainians have nothing to do with the colonization of Africa. The people living on the territory of modern Ukraine have themselves been colonized by Russian and European imperial powers for the last several centuries.
