Delivery & Pickup Options - 821 reviews of Kon Chau Restaurant "This place is not flashy nor trendy. But then again I haven't eaten anywhere close to Miami's "chinatown-yet-to-be" on 163rd street in the Northeast part of the county (I'm by the southwest, so talk about inconvenience)!
I had good dim sum dumplings with a dinner combo. The wonton soup was very good (and it's not the plain kind). Everything they've brought out was very good, including the rice. Tea was good. The only exception was the egg roll - that has room to improve.
This place was voted for having the best Dim Sum in Miami from 1998 to 2003. So it's worth the try!
This spot looks like a hole in a wall establishment (but it is pretty big due to its popularity), and the strip mall it's in needs an uplift. But you know that this place is pretty authentic when you can see plenty of Asians around, in this little corner China-stripmall-town on Bird Road west of the Palmetto. There's a little Asian supermarket close by in the same shopping strip.
Great prices, food, and service.
Edit: Much better deals can be had than the "combo." Go a la carte and you can thank me later. Dim sum - I love the taro crusted shrimp! Everything dim sum here was also good though. Singaporean noodles were yummy. Egg custard was delicate and good - thankfully not dry.
