     @nova in the eastern midwest, connected through a VPN (exit in Chicago or Atlanta most likely right now). Media in posts seem to be loading without noticeable slowness.

     The emoticon cache load in Mastadon iOS app did seem to take a while - it loaded about 2 of them and a lot of gray boxes. The rest trickled in after waiting a moment and closing/re-opening the emoticon collection.
