I’m not surprised that Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is declaring herself an independent. She knows she otherwise would lose the Democratic primary in 2024. And that’s her own fault for selling out.

Arizona is a plurality voting state, there are no runoffs like we recently saw in Georgia. So it will literally be Sinema vs. Democrat vs. Republican. Whoever gets the most votes wins. With her favorables in the toilet, Sinema will struggle to get 10% and those votes would pull from the Republican just as easily as the Democrat. Could be fascinating to watch! -

Republicans would never nominate her and Democrats will not forgive her betrayal. Say hello to the next Tulsi Gabbard, rushing into irrelevance at warp speed.

I'm glad Arizona elected Katie Hobbs as Governor. Change is coming! I would like to see more Senators like Patty Murray of WA and Raphael Warnock of GA.
