   Their second blockbuster product was penicillin. Penicillin is purified and potent, while citric acid is not purified and not potent, making you consume much larger volumes of it
   
   We are programmed to read citric acid on a label and think happy thoughts of citrus fruits
   
   It is the remnants of the fungus created by the manufacturing process, and the volume that we consume, that is causing the harm

     @curtis refined sugar & seed oils is probably a bigger problem than citric acid... good does not come in fancy packaging w/multiple ingredients list
