   So, while I'm waiting on the install.. a thought I'd like to share.

   I love #selfhosted software. At a certain point, I started hosting all services for me and my family myself. Chat, mail, documents etc.

   But, I'm now slowly moving away from that thought. Stuff that the family uses, shouldn't be self-hosted. In the case I might be gone, my wife and kids can't/won't maintain all that.

   So from now on I only self-host stuff for myself. (Oh, and for you guys. Don't worry, we have extra admins...)

     @ruud Indeed came to the same conclusion here. And created a shared password vault with my wife.
     Think she would appreciate to still be able to access the family photos in case...

As a proof of concept and "lab" I've run self-hosted websites, tool repositories, mail servers, media centres, proxies, traffic shapers, packet inspectors etc and it's good to know I can do it, the fact is that I didn't have enough valid uses in real life (as opposed to "work") for such things.

     Protonmail/ProtonVPN. ?

     They're having a great sale still and the visionary plan would excellent for your family.

     Even allows custom domain names.

     Bitwarden for password vault imo!

     LastPass just had a minor breach too.
