   I'd like to share a little bit about my life with #freesoftware and #gnu I've been aware of the software issue for the past 15 years and at first it was easier to make sacrifices. I was lucky enough to own a Galaxy S2 so I installed @replicant on it, and for my computer I installed #trisquel GNU/Linux and I was able to just go about my life, going to Highschool and then university... but then life happened.

     Luckily last month I got an email from @fsf reminding me about the issues with #proprietary #software and have slowly getting back on track. I first of all became a member, since if I have money for iPhones and other crap I have money to support the cause. I installed the #guix #GNUlinux distribution, got a new wifi card to have it fully free, unfortunately bios is still an issue. But I'm making progress back on track, and I think it's important to give the right example.

     Fast forward to today, and I got several Apple devices in my house, for me and my wife, I've got a "gaming computer" running Windows and a few more gadgets running god knows what. All on the name of convenience and "adulthood".

     I got a job and that required me to run some non free software, and so I did, I wanted to be an adult and have my own money and make a difference in the world. This started a slippery slope, and a couple of years later I got an iPhone, because "It just works" and I needed something "reliable" to communicate with my social circle. This getting and iPhone resulted in at least 4 other people in my circle getting iPhones.
