   @a1ba still salty that most people mean 1080p when they're talking about HD and not 720p, which is actually what HD is. 1080p is FHD (full HD).

     @Riedler can't blame them nowadays people more look into 2k+ resolutions, accepting fullhd as minimal usable resolution

     @a1ba the issue is with them not using the numbers, but the marketing terms. 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 2K, 4K, 8K are all precisely defined (precisely enough, at least). HD, FHD, QHD, idkHD aren't.

     Also, if we're talking about video resolutions, there's a very important difference between 720p and 720i, but both are just called HD.

     And don't get me started on SD (Standard definition) being anything between 480i and 576p, therefore not being properly standardized at all.

     @Riedler yeah, I don't know what's 2k in 2k resolution, being just 100 pixels higher than 1080p.

     @a1ba side tangent, but I'm not too fond of the newer 'K' variant of resolution descriptions either. 1080p and the rest defines the (approx.) amount of vertical pixels while 2K define the (approx.) amount of horizontal pixels. 2K and 1080p are both usually 1920x1080, yet people usually think 2K is more because they assume 2000>1080. Not great.
