   The .onion Mitra test instance is up and running. Already found a few minor bugs to squash, too.
   
   Sadly one of those bugs prevents me from generating my own user account, so it needs to stay dormant for a little while longer. But soon we should be ready to start trying to post and federate with other .onion fedi instances
   
   Speaking of which, I'm interested in knowing about any onion fedi instances of any type... Pleroma, Akkoma, Misskey, even Mastodon. I wanna federate with anyone out there, assuming federation works as expected.

     @JapanAnon Not an onion instance, but 076 SNS is set up so that it can actually federate with Tor-only and I2P-only instances.

     @niko actually, I might be wrong... they seem to support .onion address profiles, I think(?)
     
     I'd follow someone, but I'd rather do it with somebody who can give feedback and I don't know anybody there, sadly.

     @niko Ah, I think your instance is just mirroring to Tor, but it won't federate over Tor I think.
     
     I'd need an instance natively federating over Tor to be able to interface with it.

     @niko Simply put, it's a cryptocurrency Patreon, but federated like Pleroma so anybody can host one. Fully interoperates with the rest of the Fediverse too.
     
     In theory, a person can create an account and make Subscriber Only posts (including images), and others can pay a monthly sub in crypto (Monero, in my case) to be able to see them.
     
     This is something I hope will be useful to artists, as an alternative to Patreon or FANBOX or others.

     @JapanAnon @niko @sandycorzeta @niko There's no Onion domain for 076 SNS, but it does federate with Onion instances.
     As a test, just ping me from your Mitra instance.
     
     We do have darknet-only instances planned, but not sure yet which one(s).
     GNU Social and Hubzilla are the only major software written in a sane programming language, but both only work with heavily outdated versions of those, plus they both have the added advantage of federating with more than just ActivityPub (although meaningless if only AP instances exist on the darknet).
