A big reason I'm having a hard time sticking to Mastodon is the lack of a quote-tweet feature. Yes, I know why the creator excluded it, but not having it means that I have no straightforward way to build on things other people say. All I can do is:

- boost/RT as-is, which strips it of any context around *why* I want to boost it

- "LRT", which also loses context and is a terrible UX for followers

- reply, which is visible to a different audience altogether
