     @verita84 An ssh tunnel works well; if you do that, you can run squid on the VPS and forward that port the other direction and use it as your proxy for outbound requests. In fact, you can use Privoxy and have that selectively forward .onion and .eth and .i2p domains to different backend proxies based on the name; mint is doing that for ryona.agency's outbound federation, it lets him federate with anything.

     @verita84 Okay, I guess if it's in your house there's not a lot you can do (but hope you're federating through a proxy because Cloudfed can't actually hide *outgoing* traffic), but you can tell Cloudfed "Don't fluoridate requests that match this pattern" and add that pattern to the Cloudfed rules. I don't know what to click on, I don't have Cloudfed.

     I don't know of any that are free but you could roll your own by using a cheap VPS and tunneling the traffic.

     @verita84 The easiest way is probably to tell Cloudfed to stop trying to make robots prove that they are human for federation-related endpoints, because those are all going to be API requests, approximately 0% of those requests are going to be initiated by humans.
     
     The *best* way to do this is to never use Cloudfed. Please stop using Cloudfed, friend. Fluoride tastes terrible.
