   can someone explain to me in VERY simple terms what does it mean tumblr and possibly flickr getting federated?

   i'm confused and my brain isn't working atm

     @foxwayne@kolektiva.social Means that you would be able to follow Tumblr & Flickr accounts from Mastodon and other Fediverse platforms
     
     Think of it as just another Fediverse server
