   Speaking of Hokkaido, the hotel I stayed in Otaru had Dyson hairdryers. I finally understood what’s all the fuss about.

     @HirokoHashitani it’s really great, isn’t it?! I have their regular dryer plus curling styler. A friend has Dyson vacuum cleaner…it’s great too, she says.

     @HirokoHashitani yeah hair dryers are super powerful and cannot be used overseas. Gotta buy one in the US….(no forex benefit ?

     @YoWatShiinaEsq It sure was compelling. It finally made sense why it's expensive. I wanted that whole fancy box set at an electronics store ($ was ¥147) but the salesperson didn’t recommend using it overseas even with an adapter because it’s powerful and the device is delicate to the power amp.??♀️ She said she couldn’t guarantee that it won’t break.

     @HirokoHashitani Yes!!! It’s wonderful. The set comes with a whole variety of attachments (including a smaller version of their regular dryer). It’s expensive but an investment well worth it?

     @YoWatShiinaEsq She also demonstrated the curling styler with a manikin head. It was mindblowing? Does it work well for you?

     Re: curl durability, I’d say it depends on hair type & also helped by curl-enhancing product. Following the instructions to apply cold air for like 15-20 seconds & waiting for like 15 seconds before removing the hair from the curler also helps (at least for me
