     @nihilvt that said, omarchy is getting a lot of apps aiming at it as a platform, so maybe there's some sort of hyprland ecosystem? toolkit? nigguh

     @nihilvt i was thinking about hyprland but i want to use something that has some sort of ecosystem. Which is why I used kde or gnome. Because you have basically a repertoire of apps that let you avoid other environment's apps

     @nihilvt i could use sneedci sneedsolve but for the stuff i did smth like pitivi or kdenlive were enough.

     @mischievoustomato@0.5dollah.click well Kdenlive is slop, can't you use Davinci Resolve in Nix? Distrobox? I'm just waiting for the WinBoat update so I can use my Premiere Pro and Photoshop

     @mischievoustomato@0.5dollah.click I'm confused on the point lol why not just use NixOS and have the best of both worlds then? I already know it's a nightmare to navigate but you can literally build your own ecosystem

     @nihilvt i do run nixos but you don't get to have the 'best of both worlds'. Like, say I wanted to use Kdenlive when under gnome. it kinda works, until it doesnt and it also crashes my session on exit. It's awful. And getting KDE apps to not look bad on gnome is hard. And there's other stuff too. I'm just tired of linux.
