A woman who pretends to be a man was subject to the same background testing that every other employee must undergo. Because this testing required the disclosure of prior legal names and her prior legal name aligns with her sex (rather than her private reverie to be a member of the opposite sex), she claims that the process was traumatizing.
The state employment tribunal agreed that forcing a person who pretends to be something they are not to disclose their prior history violates a right that some people have to deceive others about their sex and awarded her $35,000, in effect establishing the principle that nobody who is falsifying their sex (including for positions where the applicant is working with young children) can be subject to the same scrutiny that all other employees must undergo.
Transgender "rights" are always demands for special privileges and exemptions. They provide a pathway to unravel the system of child safeguarding. And they use state power to coerce individuals and institutions to join people in pretending to be something they are not, a violation of everyone's rights that the system is working tirelessly to make universal.
