   For Unbreaking this week, I had to read the 9th Circuit appeal in Queerdoc v DOJ, in which Judge Carlos Bea allows the subpoena against the trans healthcare provider to continue on procedural grounds.

   He argues that ending gender-affirming care is not inherently an "improper policy objective", and characterizes it as an "ongoing debate among experts", citing Skrmetti.

   Anyway, I had to pay for it via PACER, so you can have it too, if you want.

     By the by, the RECAP extension provided by the folks at Court Listener is rad. It basically scoops whatever records you pay for via PACER, and makes them available to others for free.

     Obviously I use that, too! I dunno how long it'll take to show up there, but here's the full docket if you'd prefer to read there.
