   Google says new EU regulations are forcing the biggest reduction in Search quality in its 29-year history.

   Google integrating hotels, flights and shopping directly into Search makes Search better. It also makes it almost impossible to compete with Google in those businesses.

   In the U.S., antitrust is about harm to consumers whereas in the EU it’s more about harm to competitors.

     @carnage4life Lolwut. Hotels and flights have nothing to do with search. That garbage is purely taking advantage of their position in one thing to push unrelated things.

     @carnage4life The question to ask here: if I went in a public library asking for a flight to somewhere, would the librarian tell me their recommended good deals, or would they help me looking for sources to research flights?

     That is the litmus test for what belongs in a search engine: What Would the Librarian Do?
