Eighty years ago, #JapaneseAmericans who'd been uprooted from the West Coast celebrated #Thanksgiving behind barbed wire at the Gila River "Relocation Center" in southern #Arizona. Without noting the irony, the gov't placed the #ConcentrationCamp on the #reservation land of the Gila River Indian Community.
This is a short thread about that Thanksgiving.
