@FeloniousPunk No. "Alpha release stage" implies there's a way forward. You wouldn't say NFTs were "alpha release stage". You say they were entirely a scam. "AI" is exactly the same. The technologies being pushed fundamentally can't do, and are not even a plausible ingredient in doing, the things they're touted as being on the path towards.

The thing is, AI in its current state, is little more than an alpha release stage. It makes grand mistakes, is wildly inefficient, and not even close to beta yet. To charge full-steam ahead with complete datacenter buildout around an alpha level product is ludicrous.
This is not about productivity gains or quality product - It’s about market dominance. Who can outlast everyone else.
And WE, you and me, are paying dearly for subsidizing this insanity.
