   I'm giving up on #deltachat I've removed the link from my bio, use Signal to reach me.

   It is just an absolute cesspool of AI apologists, and I have no time for that.

   The argument seems to be, "It's all open source code, so why do you care that I'm using your code in my AI usage?"

   Because you were never willing to pay the authors jack shit for our code, but you'll pay these massive AI vendors to take our code, and use it to autogenerate shit for you.

   Fuck you people.

     @nuintari @nils you tried to impress a group of ~40 people with a story about how you bullied your "friend" for his AI usage and you didn't get the praise you expected so you left. At least tell the truth about what happened man.

     @nils I was only in a handful of channels, but the people I met were mostly annoying, self righteous, and I was getting nothing from the interactions.

     Alternative secure messaging platforms seem to be plagued with tech bro types. I had these exact issues with Matrix.

     @nuintari Wait what? I kinda knew the ArcaneChat client dev was doing some AI stuff but I've been staying away from that for that reason, but do the main devs also? Do you have some links/proofs?

     I spend thousands of dollars per year funding open source projects and annoy people ok here regularly about how people need to *FUND OPEN SOURCE* instead of freeloading and expecting a handout.
     
     You really need to stop making assumptions about people it's not healthy
