As long as the U.S. Secretary of Education is doing things like thinking AI (artificial intelligence) is A1 (steak sauce) [true story], perhaps we should not take anything they say as wise, true or anything other than damaging.

Prepubescent Plumber Plan is exactly the kind of destructive stupid Linds McMahon is capable of and eager to create.

Elementary school is not too early to put students on a track to the skilled trades, according to the US education secretary, an idea ridiculed as the Prepubescent Plumber Plan. https://youtu.be/3IQZeMOelqc?is=8a4c3-q7fXgUcuQ6

@davidaugust i'm not sure shitting on trade schools is a real winning move there, but i've never been a fan of germany's school track concept regardless :blobcathuh:

@icedquinn I think there may be some confusion.

      1) Linda McMahon the current United States Secretary of Education; this article and post are about the United States, not Germany.

      2) No one is sh*tting on trade schools, the critique is on discussing them for people under the age of 11.

I hope that might clarify things a bit.

@davidaugust yes and the germans actually do the thing you are talking about. they pre-sort children towards university or trade schools, and they do it among the earliest of countries that engage in tracks.

it's not unheard of as a proposal. i just don't agree with it.
