     btw, this is the similar to the technique used by the Soviets to "listen" to the inside of US embassies in the past (and probably, in my own opinion), what causes Havana Syndrome.

     Point a high power RF signal (microwave, Wifi or higher frequencies) at a building so that it bounces off a reflective object -- say, a picture frame, or a metal object, or whatever -- and detect changes in that RF signal to extract audio inside the building.

     So, you steer your beam until you hit something that reflects nicely (portrait of Ronald Reagan on the desk in a metal frame, the nice little statue you got from your time at Langley, the metal stand holding up your mini American flag on your desk, etc.) and Boris runs that through the computer to reconstruct your chat about your human assets deployed to Katmandu.
