   On a recent flight after suffering a 9 hour delay I was sat near a small child who screamed continually for hours! I lulled myself to sleep thinking of all the ways I could murder the child and found it really quite soothing.

     @fesshole my personal favourite is cartoon style, baseball bat hit with classic toon propeller windup, hitting it right into the sun, with the audio slowly fading with distance.

     Close second is a classic catapult.

     I have 2 children, and they're great, love them.

     But those fantasies keep you sane.

     Oh, forgot one: cartoon taser! The one where the hairs stand up and bones light up and blink, with cartoon lightning all around. That one is useful while waiting at the cash register to pay.
