   Can you imagine if we could have had Google, Facebook, Amazon, Spotify and Microsoft all without the evil profiteering? Can you imagine if enough had been enough for the founders and then they just... were nice and generous and good human beings? They'd be heros, and still richer than anyone else.

   I know that's not possible to imagine for Musk but he was an imitator anyway not an innovator. For the others, I mean.

     @Tarnport The thing is...if it hadn't been for their evil profiteering what we would have is the more diverse economy they squashed. So much of what they have was invented elsewhere and acquired and/or stolen. We don't need giant tech corporations. We could have had something better if antitrust enforcement had been on them from the start.
