    Someone saying I didn’t actually build a vibe coded app because “you simply pushed a button” is like telling me I didn’t sew my shirt and just clicked [Buy] on Amazon.

    I’m sure it’s an insult in some circles but to me this is exactly why technology exists.

      @carnage4life Both are heavily exploiting labor that didn't get paid adequately or at all, but the shirt you bought isn't going to get someone's sensitive medical data leaked and land them in jail like your vibecoded appshit is.

      Code has very different stakes than garments because it encodes & implements policy.

      @carnage4life Applying low quality stochastic automation to assembling someone's clothing or to the logistics of getting it to them is vastly different stakes than applying low quality stochastic automation to setting policies that affect their safety and justice.
