   Looking forward to jumping back over to Pixelfed development after #FediCon

   Spam mitigation is my top priority, and the nuclear option is allowing admins to restrict registration to the official mobile apps via App Attestation and device ids that use a central service we operate to prevent spam registration across our ecosystem of instances.

   SpamHaus and other services are also being considered, SMS verification is too expensive and easy to bypass.

     Allowing our community to invite friends via invite links is another possibility, leveraging a trusted papertrail of accounts that could easily be suspended if they are found to abuse this.

     There are a lot of options, and each require careful consideration and input from our community.

     While this is a boring "feature" to most, it's top priority as AI and Agents have made Curated Onboarding much harder for admins, and we need a better long term solution.

     @dansup allow US to enable curated onboarding or full block sign up only for well known Spam Domains like gmail.com

     @metapixl Yes, I will allow admins to block signups from specific email domains, along with a suite of many other options!

     I'd love to hear more feedback from you in our Matrix channel, I want to make it easier for admins to run Pixelfed with powerful options, settings and tools!
