   I was surprised to find an email from N6TR (logchecker IARU contest) in my inbox at around midnight, asking whether I could confirm the contacts I’d made with the WRTC stations during #wrtc2026. This had never happened before. I even assumed the results were final. However, when I checked thei website announcement of the Organising Commitee https://www.wrtc2026.org/ , it quickly became clear that there had apparently been serious irregularities. They’re re-analysing the results. In one place, the term 'foul play' is even used!

   So I sent my log - which was small, as I got to the radio only during the last hour of wrtc2026.

   We'll see how that turns out.

     I received an interesting reply in which they revealed a little bit about their suspicions - and especially, how they came up with my call sign. However, I won't discuss it here so that speculation doesn't run wild - or at least not until we have the official final results.
