   One gripe I have about #Linux is theming inconsistancy. I love having so many choices, and to have that, I can't expect every app to use the same UI language/libraries/whatever. I accept that, happily. However, I do really wish GTK apps would just look at my Plasma settings and at least change it's gray to the color the rest of my system is. That's all I'm asking for. Plasma has settings for this, and every GTK app I've used ignores it, remaining dark gray in an ocean of dark rose.

     That said, I'll still take this mismatch over Windows's.... whatever you'd call that ick, or Mac's liquid ass, any day.

     @seyon I wasn't a Linux user back then (and I regret that, honestly), but I do vaguely remember that from my exploring. I just hadn't connected WHY some apps didn't appear in the other DE. Though, to be fair, I could have both DEs installed easily then, where as now, installing Gnome in addition to Plasma can break stuff.

     @hellomiakoda but it's way better than in the older days when we had to switch to gnome to launch a GTK app, or KDE for a Qt one. But yeah it's the advantage we have on Linux and also a disadvantage at the same time.
