  This stat was true to the best of my research ability in March 2025. I don't know if it's shifted since, but…yikes, and also YIKES, and also W T F.

  1. Cybertrucks burn people alive 57x more often than normal cars. (Yes, really.) Sources: 1 car far fatality per ~7K Cybertrucks (https://fuelarc.com/evs/its-official-the-cybertruck-is-more-explosive-than-the-ford-pinto/) versus 643 car fire fatalities annually in the US (https://www.nfpa.org/education-and-research/research/nfpa-research/fire-statistical-reports/vehicle-fires) ≈ 1 per 400k for all vehicles; Cybertruck higher by ~57x. Yes, small N, uncertain data— but 1-2 orders of magnitude are not an estimation issue or a statistical fluke.
