   Looking for #hamradio podcasts and YouTube (or Peertube) channels! Stuff to listen to while doing my dishes or sewing.

   At the moment I'd prefer suggestions that are more topic heavy and less news heavy.

   Does anyone have suggestions?

   Bonus points if they are a women! (No offense to burly men with big beards, but there are soooooo many of y'all when I looked for this on my own.)

     There are far too few ham radio podcasts made by women. Well, there is "Glam Ham Radio", for example. The Glam Ham is mainly on TikTok - I'm not. But you can also start with her youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@GlamHamRadio or her website https://glamhamradio.com. Great personality. (I think she has a stand-up comedy past - so that resonates with me.)

     How do I know about her? Because years ago she appeared at HamRadioNow, a show (youtube also podcast) by Gary Pearce K4AAQ and David Goldenberg W0DHG. They generally have a good hand in inviting interesting people. (There was a show lately (HRN 558) where they discuss Violetta Latham's KN2P talk on how to get younger people into Ham radio. Violetta was also on the show earlier.) So you have to flip through the episodes to find more women guests.

     I very much enjoyed Jeri Ellsworth youtube chanel https://www.youtube.com/@jeriellsworth that was not only Ham Radio but her electronics experiments in general. I think she stopped (the chanel) years ago.

     I'm more interested in the building side but then I built too little (because of time constraints). But I also love to listen just to interviews with fellow hams - as they are just above average interesting people. ;-)

     If that's the case - far right, MAGA, prepper connection - I'm sorry. I wasn't aware of it. If you have a look into my stuff, you will realize that hardly anyone could feel more hostile toward these fellows than I do. I only remembered her - in a very positive way - from the show I mentioned. (I have to admit though, that I will talk to people that I find interesting, even if we have nothing in common in terms of our worldviews.)

     Start with listening to my number 1 QSOToday. It will blow you away (hopefully.) Great stuff.

     @es0mhi I will check these out! I think I will have to pass on Glam Ham Radio though. She is giving me strong far-right conspiracy theorist vibes.

     I am trying (and failing) to avoid the far-right MAGA and prepper types.
