   The viewing figures are in for #smoggiequeens: Its first episode secured 41,000 viewers. This dropped to 30,000 for the second episode. (It cost more than £200k per episode to make)

   A repeat of Motherland, co-created by @glinner, which aired at the same time, had 411,000 viewers

     @ripx4nutmeg @glinner The BBC is free to make the art and content it wants to out of its budget. Just because I don't like a show, doesn't mean it's not popular with some. Everyone is entitled to find different things enjoyable. I'm sure that those who want to keep the BBC will be happy to pay for it through a streaming service model like Netflix etc. I used to like a lot of BBC content. Now I do not, so I choose to go without it and don't pay a licence fee.
