   The femboy is a feminized sex object, a toy, an approximation of femininity which has no power over him.

   In a lot of cultures, cis-het men frequent gay and trans sex workers. It's considered no big deal. They can't get pregnant and they have no power, either over them as individuals or in society at large.

   Trans women who assert our femaleness are breaching containment as far as these men are concerned.

   That's part of where their transphobia comes from.

     This is true of cis women transphobes as well. TERFs don't feel threatened by trans women. They know we're not physically dangerous, to them or anyone, really, and that they can harass, abuse, and direct violence at us with impunity.

     They would prefer to push us back down into the societal underworld, back into gay subcultures or as powerless third gender sex objects for men.

     Again, it's the assertion of our womanhood that angers them because we're claiming to be their equals.

     These cis women are aware they occupy a subordinate social position compared to men, but they also know sex and reproduction gives them value to men under patriarchy and that they occupy a higher social strata than we do.

     And they want to keep it that way.

     Outside of (coercive) reproduction, sexual politics under patriarchy are rarely about "biology" or even orientation so much as power and domination.

     I think a lot of people trip over this because they assume humans can be strictly categorized.

     For example, many cis-het men see women as threatening; she is his antithesis and his attraction makes him feel vulnerable. She has power over him in his imagination, which he can only correct by (violently) subordinating her.

     The same guy might jerk off to femboys without seeing it as gay.
