     then there's the part where he was a caste fascist, and his perfect state is basically about permanent aristocracy and eugenics which are shitty.

     @genmaicha its probable that if socrates hadn't been suicided he would have told plato he's an idiot personally, because there's a huge whiplash from being the student of the guy who asks an annoying about of questions about things (what makes the 'gold' blood aristocrat superior to the 'copper' blooded half born? he'd ask annoying questions about this that plato just doesn't proceed to ask himself) to immediately relating all humans to some form of purified metal that can only ever get worse (which is also just demonstrably false, IT is full of "untouchables" ass blasting nobility in skill)
     
     eugenics only works for breeding out congenital diseases and not as a general political theory. to plato's partial credit, there is likely no way for him to have known that with what they had.
