   I kinda liked (and used!) #TagsPub when it was #OptIn tbh but the #notifications are annoying either way... what if I silence the instance?

     Ok yeah, that actually works pretty well. Now make that shit opt-in again (or at least proactively fucking ask before assuming consent or something?) and it might have a future.

     @evan from all bots, which I don't want to do. Muting the instance seems to work well and I can see the bots I follow anyway. Should probably be the recommended server-wide solution, unless it actually breaks things in a way I don't realize.

     @evan yes, searching for the "user" and following works, at least on current-ish glitch-soc. I'm sure there are people who can answer this with more confidence though, and for software other than Mastodon.
