   Whenever I do laundry of if I have a left over sock I just throw it back in the dirty basket. It will eventually even itself out.

     Assuming there is a weak attractive force inversely related to distance between chiral pairs of otherwise identical socks it's fair to imagine that returning a free (unbound) sock to the mix might increase its chance of binding to its chiral-anti-sock.
