   One thing that is actually more frustrating than a completely dead remote control is one that kinda works if you really really mash the buttons. Fixable, but this will be like the dozenth time in this remote's life.

     Yeah they wear out. It is a feature to get you to move for exercise.

     @SpaceLifeForm Even more fun, it's proprietary BT. I can't just get a universal, or make HA use the IR blaster for it. Nope, I have to get one of a few specific compatible remotes. The newest one sucks bad, and the older one is like $80 on ebay.... because nobody likes the new one.
