   Been with partner for nine years. Engaged for seven. Have two beautiful boys but still get upset by the way he proposed, no effort from him at all, he chucked a pair of his boxers on my head then said will you marry me. Its not the worst thing in the world but I still get upset.

     Sounds like regret that you didn't tell him to ask again with more respect and dignity if he expects you to accept. Too late now. Oh well… Take as many opportunities as you can to bring up the story, but always when he can hear it, too.

     @fesshole I named a star called "***** will you marry me?". My delivery could have been better, though, plonked the certificate on the coffee table and said to (then future, now ex) wife "Oh you may want to look at that..."
