In an online discussion, don't assume anything about anybody exceeding what they are writing. More often than not, they have a vastly different Frame of perception than you do, with focus on aspects that might sound trivial or irrelevant to you. ESPECIALLY, don't become demeaning based on what you perceive as untenable position. As long as it's not derogatory, give them the benefit of the doubt. It's more likely that you have a misunderstanding than that they're one-dimensional douchebags.
