   EFF had co-authored an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in the Chatrie v. United States geofencing case. Here's a statement from EFF Surveillance Litigation Director Andrew Crocker:

   "We applaud the Supreme Court's decision in Chatrie v. United States. The Court reaffirmed that you have an expectation of privacy in location data that reveals your movements in the physical world, and that even short-term surveillance of these movements is a search subject to the Fourth Amendment.
