     Inspired to check the dates when Prince's "Computer Blue" came up on shuffle. It turns out he released that song in 1984. The first version of Windows that crashed to a blue screen was released in 1985.

     Was Prince's music the inspiration for the Blue Screen Of Death? I feel like @anildash would know the answer to this.
