   Found the local supermarket shelves stocked with the new monochrome "Kappa-ebisen" snack bags with the logo "石油原料 節約 パッケージ"(reduced use of petroleum derived materials package) .
   Seems that colours are starting to drain out of everyday objects, but perhaps it's also a wake-up call re over-dependence on petroleum products.

     Have also been musing when some bright spark might revisit the AR hype and suggest just printing a QR code on a largely blank snack bag which leads the customer to an image (static or animated) of the product in "glorious technicolor" since we know everyone and their cat/dog now has a smart-phone. /s
