   Amelia and I are moving (internationally) and I can’t wait for it to just be done. There is so much stress, not just the packing but the paperwork, even getting confirmation from the airline on if we can take our cats (and if not, the whole non-refundable ticket goes in the bin). I’m barely getting any sleep lately.

     @Gargron gone through that twice with dogs, so lots of empathy for the stress - it's an extra level over a local move for sure! Hope you all travel safe and settle smoothly

     @sborrill I would not be able to be apart from my cats for that long. They're not outdoor cats, they're very shy, they're used to always being with us.

     @Gargron When my brother moved from the UK to Greece, he found a woman who does the drive there and back weekly in a van mainly to move pets. She would also bring back large containers of excellent olive oil if you asked nicely.

     @sborrill Does the route go through Germany? Regardless I already had to dish out 900 EUR for the airline tickets so I'd rather that not go to waste...

     @Gargron It turns out my sister-in-law is visiting and sitting opposite me. It sounds like the woman they used may be happy to have a passenger to keep her company and has stopped off en route from Greece to the UK before. Might be a non-starter, but I can find out more if it would be any use. Are you coming from a place mildly en route?

     I recently went through a move clear across the USA. It got stressful. But you will find reserves of strength like you always have before.
