   One of my previous jobs was as Head of Partner Outreach at the Sony Developer Program. Yes, the department that handled the unlocking of bootloaders on phones, making sure the opn community had the right tools etc.

   When I comment on idiots who post various shitty takes on companies claiming the companies are "evil" and rant on in various conspiracy theories it's because I know - extremely well - that that's never what has happened.

   Companies screw up and make mistakes. The good ones learn from them and strive to do better.

   Don't be an idiot on the Intarnetz.

   This is a toot about the latest "Oh Proton must be fash!!!11" hate fest.

     @Infoseepage So the answer to my question is that you've never held a job. That's ok. Then you should just listen to those of us who have.

     Someone at Proton screwed up. They own the mistake. They're taking action to make sure it won't happen again.
