I need “premium disappointment” to enter the lexicon and never leave because it describes so much of capitalism’s output

you buy cereal and eat it as your first meal of the day and find out that the trix rabbit has yet again lied to you about both flavor and nutrition.
the cereal box stands upright on your table, larger than a box to hold a small bag should ever be, habitually placed so everyone eating can see it. the flavor is so unremarkable it needs a dedicated billboard on your table or you might mistake it for a generic brand.
but this isn’t generic, this is too expensive to be generic. premium disappointment

microsoft operating systems have never been cheap. even the ones you didn’t pay for or think you got for free via a loophole have a cost post people wouldn’t pay if they were asked.
if you grew up in the 90s you should be very angry at Microsoft’s strategy of forcing unfit for service OSes into schools.
45 years of premium disappointment
(do not reply to this post about how you too use linux, I understand we’re on mastodon, thanks)

you go to a restaurant
you find out the point of the restaurant is not the food, which is generic-to-awful
the restaurant and the food are both designed for you to pose for a photo with them
it is of course very expensive
premium disappointment
