   In the late 80s I raised about £30 in my school's charity week by doing a sponsored something or other. I collected the money, mostly in coins. But I spent it all at the games arcade, completing the Robocop video game. I still burn with shame when I remember this.

     @fesshole a guy I work with used to go door to door to ask for donations for a children's hospital and then spent the money on weed.

     He now gives generously to said hospital.
