   The guy had his scooter stolen. It's right there in plain sight. The cop argues he can't do anything, because legal nuance.

   It can't be that easy to steal, can it?

   Maybe don't call the cops. Maybe just go grab it.

     @PNS don't know if you're showing me Canada or the UK, but you tell the cop okay since you're here now I want you to walk with me while I retrieve my stolen property that I notified you about. You can ask him if he spoke with the property owner lady or you can later tell her that someone left your stolen bike in her yard. Or later you can tell her you called the cops this time, next time it happens you're calling the undertaker. Let's hope there isn't a next time.
