      @alda @nieuemma Indexes and indices are both used in English (British, American, and others), it's really more or less up to taste.

      For database stuff specifically, iirc "indexes" is common (e.g. it's used on the Wikipedia page about database indexes).

      For a lot of sciency stuff and mathematics etc. "indices" is often more popular.

      @nieuemma @thomasfuchs it's correct UK spelling but you wouldn't use correct UK spelling for a lot of things that have to do with computers.

      @alda @nieuemma One of the interesting things about English compared e.g. German or French is that there's no "authority" that does any final rulings on stuff like this.
